ICHO: Tokyo, Japan

The ICHO Teppan Grill is located in the Hotel Nikko Tokyo ,and in our opinion it is the best teppan grill style restaurant in Tokyo. Teppan style is like a Benihana but without the big show. The chefs still prepare your food right in front of you, but they do it very professionally. So, I guess you would say it is not as fun. On the other had, the food is much better than Benihana.

We had the most expensive fixed course you can get which includes seared abalone, beef filet and fried rice with small tiny fish. There were lots of other courses, but these were the best. The fried rice with the little fish in it was strange, but very tasty.

We have tried several of these restaurants throughout Tokyo and this is by far the best. Also, the view of the Rainbow Bridge from this hotel is better than any other hotel in the city.
